This is my truck. It was given to me by my grandfather once I recieved my licence. Upon recieving it, the pickup only had 65,000 miles on it. It is in very good condition, and has many small improvements installed by my grandfather.
These include a lock for the hood, controlled in the dashboard by a knob, an alarm system which sadly now does not function properly, a knob for the choke for saving gas, and small additional locks added to the small door windows. Other than the air-conditioning system which is not functioning properly, and a knocking valve, the truck is in great condition. It gets me to where I need to go, and, with me being a teenager, having my own vehicle is great.

How it runs:

Well, it runs alright. It's a great old truck. The knocking valve has me checking my oil about twice a week to keep it from causing serious damage. Gas milage? It's a beast. It takes alot of gas. The tank really isn't all that large either. I really can't estimate the gas milage so far, but I will try. I really like driving it, it's secure and doesn't rock too much. It tends to slide around in the snow, as it is rear wheel drive. To help with this I placed 240 pounds(4 60 pound bags) of all-purpose sand in the bed, right behind the wheel wells. In the cold weather the truck is a little more difficult to start up. However, it has yet to fail to start completely. So far it has been dependable.

Other things:

The doors are sealed air tight, so they are actually rather difficult to close properly. When others are in the truck I always have to tell them to slam their door really hard with alot of their weight, and sometimes it still won't close. It's not a problem however. The interior is nice and big. A lot of leg room and very nice apolstry. Mine needs cleaned pretty bad, from all the salt and water on the roads here in Pennsylvania, there has grown to be a white residue on the floor. The paint is still in good shape, and there is no rust yet to be seen anywhere on the truck. The cap I have on it currently came with the truck when my grandfather gave it to me.
